Does this new observation assume that human intelligence decreases, or just the amount of governing power they contain? If the average man may still have certain control, then they are in fact retaining some level of power if they are still the basis of extent of power the computer can receive. How is it that man voluntarily gives up his freedom? Regardless of whether or not we will be able to override the decisions of the computer, it still needs human insight to govern the maintenance of these machines (example The Matrix). If so much effort is being put into these projects, then in what way is it making things easier? The excess effort in creating these machines to do things for us could actually be more productive by just doing the task ourselves.
Is the importance
of freedom being ignored in order to institute simplicity in our lives?
How is rebuilding the social order going to make things less complicated?
People are defined by their economic status. If each man holds the
same amount of power in the eyes of the computer, who then can govern these
“thoughts”? Our social statuses will be irrelevant because we will
not be distinguished as working class or otherwise. Each persons
role will be determined by the same factors, making everyone appear equal
under this new construction of the social order. The problem
now becomes the need for the computers to produce these jobs. If
there is no need for the existence of humans, what or whom are the jobs
being done for?
